Perfecting your Event with the Pantone Color (s) of the Year

2016 has rung and Pantone says this year's colors are Rose Quartz and Serenity!

This combo mixes sweetly powdered pink with soft and cool blue. Pantone describes that this year's color selection is demonstrating the "gender blur as it relates to fashion" as well as the "mindfulness and well-being" consumers are seeking.

Pastel pink and blue together have long been typecast but we think you can make these colors work in sophisticated ways. Here are a few images for how to perfect your next event with 2016's Rose Quartz and Serenity!

The Blushing Bride

Incorporating a Blush Palette into your Summer Wedding

Blush can be sweet and elegant, it can carry itself well in many themes from a rustic wedding to a classical bash. It is a very versatile color. Therefore blush is a great option to mix into your palette as a subtle, somewhat neutral foundation to your overall theme.

With Marsala as 2015’s Pantone color of the year, blush is a great compliment to its rich hue. Blush can also pair well on the other side of the color spectrum, warming up cool blues and greens too.

Blush mixed with peacock green and champagne gold make a really stunning combination as seen below. Blush blossoms include stock, garden roses, and astilbe.

This palette with powder blue and pink creates a summery-fresh look. The additional pink tones warm up the blush and illuminate the contrast with the cooler tones. Blush blossoms include peonies, sweet pea, and ranunculus.

This rich palette with wines, plums, and pinks gives a sultry look to the blush. The tonality transforms it from sweet to sophisticated. Blush blossoms include roses and stock.

Whatever your look or palette, finding colors that suit your vision and design will help to make your wedding or event a visual success!
