Dreaming of Daffodils
It would seem in floriculture that the daffodil, as most flowers, has many meanings.
It is suggested that the daffodil's symbolic meaning could be "regard," "uncertainty", "unrequited love", "chivalry" and/or "respect," depending on which culture and century your search brings you to.
But one thing is for certain, for me, daffodils symbolize Spring. I long for the day when the lovely yellow daffodil graces my yard with its arrival, a sure sign of welcomed springtime.
